Elementary school is the important first step a child needs to begin his or her education. It’s a place where students learn to read, where they learn the fundamental concepts of math and science, and where they begin a basic understanding of the world and its history. 

Located in the heart of Grenada County, Grenada Elementary School PreK-3, also known as “the Red Top,” is an innovative elementary school. Our staff is committed to creating a hands-on learning environment where children’s knowledge comes to life. 

We start them as young as three years old in our stellar Pre-K program, the only Learning Collaborative in Mississippi to start so young and also one of the highest-performing. From there, the journey through kindergarten and grades one through three fosters an enthusiasm for learning in children, whether it be through our active library and reading programs; our playful math instruction; our “specials” that introduce art, music, and computers; and our award-winning Kidzeum, which gives students the opportunity to explore the globe through the creative introduction of technology and imagination.
